The Coast of Maresme 

The Coast of Maresme extends between Barcelona and the Costa Brava. It is a territory that is well connected by road and that, in addition, is conveniently linked to Barcelona by means of a railway line that unites the Maresme with the city in just a few minutes and incredibly frequently.

The Maresme is a privileged location, featuring a picturesque landscape between the sea and mountains adorned with vineyards stretching across the fields. Several municipalities of the Maresme, such as Santa Susana and Calella, are certified by the Catalan tourism Agency as "Sports Destinations". Here you can live the sport in all its meanings throughout the year, due to its Mediterranean climate.
 
Golf in the region and has two clubs that together total more than 70 hectares: The Llavaneras Golf Club, founded in 1945 and the Golf Sant Vicenc de Montalt, in a sought-after location. And to satisfy the restlessness of those who wish to start with Pitch & Putt, the Maresme offers the possibility to enjoy this Irish-born sport in the Pitch & Putt Tennis Mora, in HCP1,  in the P&P Barcelona Teia and in the P&P Sant Cebria.
Horse Riding
The Maresme also has a large number of equestrian centres, such as Llavaneres, Sant Pol Club and Vilassar de Mar. Some of these clubs provide horse riding in the Montnegre Park area and offer activities for the whole family.


Leisure and Sailing
The offer of nautical tourism is also very expansive. The ports in Maresme welcome all types of leisure and sports boats. There are many Nautical Clubs that are a gateway
tp sea to enjoy sport related activities such as surfing or sailing. we highlight the marinas of Balis in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and the Mascnou for its importance and facilities. 

Culture, Roots and Traditions
The Maresme has managed to keep its popular festivals and has a long list of leisure and culture events throughout the year.

Jazz, poetry, habaneras or modernist and circus gatherings cover the calendar of events of the Maresme. The populations of Tordera and Mataró have weekly cultural activities in all its meanings. The fairs in this area are known throughout the country and during the major festivals, giants and big heads take the streets of the towns and villages of every corner of the region in the province of Barcelona. One of the best known is that of Mataró, which is celebrated in July or the Premià de Mar, under the name “PiratesI

Important European and international firms have chosen the Maresme as a prominent shopping area, just half an hour from Barcelona.
The good connectivity of the Maresme with the rest of its geography allows you to enjoy the shopping in premium places like

15 Minutes from Barcelona 

 
Due to its strategic location, the Maresme is very well connected by road with Barcelona. It is also a good starting point for large trips since Barcelona airport or Girona airport is very well connected with the whole region. In less than 45 minutes you can reach any of these two airports.
The Catalan capital is just a few minutes by car thanks to the road network such as the C32 or the AP7. The area has a railway line that runs through the towns of the Costa del Maresme, thus reaching the centre of Barcelona in a short time thanks to the frequent service of trains of Line 1 of Rodalies.
Located just 15 minutes from Barcelona, the Maresme is the best place to be in contact with nature and to participate in mountain sports or enjoy the calm waters of the Mediterranean.
