Marbella the Diamond of the Costa del Sol

Marbella is located in the Southern tip of Europe which belongs to the province of Málaga, Andalucía. It is considered to be the Diamond of the Costa del Sol which is situated between Málaga and Gibraltar; It is known to be the balcony of the Mediterranean Sea. “Marbella” means beautiful sea and it is popularised around the rich and the famous. However, Marbella is equally rich in culture and history.

In less than 50 years, Marbella transformed from a small agricultural village into an international tourist destination. This location boasts a uniquely mild climate, 26 kilometres of attractive beaches, breath-taking mountains, such as Sierra Blanca, and high-end hotels.

The utmost area is Puerto Banus, it is a luxury marina and shopping complex is considered to be the location with most extravagance restaurants and designer shops, also known as the “playground of the rich and famous”.

Costa del Sol is also called Costa del Golf which is due to the variety of Golf courts within the area, despite this not being possible without Marbella as it has the highest number of Golf courts.
The nightlife in Marbella is glamorous and it is also a home to many famous celebrities on the golden mile, together with the home to Saudi Royal families. Marbella also has the background of the “twinning” with the Miami and other major cities around the world.

GOLDEN MILE

The international jet-set community started to build luxurious holiday homes in the 1950s and 60s here, on the coastal strip between Puerto Banús and Marbella, and its glamour and beauty have made Marbella a famous name all over the world.

This elegant 8km boulevard is surrounded by some of the most exclusive real estate in Europe. The name itself reflects this. In the Golden Mile, your neighbours will be respectable politicians and businessmen, Spanish and European aristocrats, Arabian sheikhs and kings. This area has kept its charm, style and class over the years.

Here you will find impressive palaces, stunning villas and luxurious apartments set within lush greenery just a few minutes’ drives from the Old Centre of Marbella and the exciting attractions of fabulous Puerto Banús. Classic elegance is refined to perfection in the Golden Mile estates that offer the highest standards of luxury, comfort and security.

Luxurious mansions on large estates line the coast between the famous Puente Romano and Marbella Club hotels and their stylish beach clubs attract crème de la crème from all over the world. This area can boast the best shopping facilities – the top international designers’ brands have their shops here; the most exclusive night clubs and exciting discotheques which are open dusk until dawn. There are the finest restaurants with international cuisine or traditional Spanish food here, from the exclusive Michelin stars places with the world famous chefs and sommeliers to the lovely cafés with cosy terraces for enjoying relaxing afternoons and warm evenings.

The Golden Mile is not a location, it’s a lifestyle. There are just few properties offered for sale in this probably the most exclusive residential community in Marbella, and these don’t stay long on the market as the demand for properties in this location is much higher than the supply.
