Diagonal Mar is one of the most distinctive districts in Barcelona where the Council have partnered with planners and developers to transform a previously industrial area into a modern complex complete with a range of unique features. These include spectacular luxury high-rise apartments, a number of prestige hotels, slick office blocks, conference centres, an interesting designer park, the largest shopping mall in Catalonia and even a brand new beach. 
 

Next to the Diagonal Mar area is the marina at the Port Fòrum where you can enjoy great cuisine, water sports and new experiences as well as a mooring for vessels, a dry dock and dry marina. The Fòrum is also host to many exciting events such as the Barcelona Air Show and Feria de Abril (Andalusian Fair) as well as many musical festivals and concerts. 

There are many shops and restaurants in the Diagonal Mar shopping centre but there also many other restaurants and bars within a short walk away. 
 

Of course, Barcelona city and the Maresme Coast are both easy to reach. There are many excellent schools in Barcelona but many families choose the well-respected Hamelin International School, only a 15-minute drive away in nearby Montgat. International flights at Barcelona El Prat Airport are 25 minutes away.
