New Developments in Cape Town
Guiding you through Cape Town’s new property developments
There’s great news for property buyers in Cape Town nowadays. Because of the continuing high demand for homes here in the fairest Cape, new developments continue to present some of this country’s finest, most desirable residential real estate acquisition opportunities.
Although Cape Town and its most desirable suburbs remain perennially popular, new areas that feature brand new developments continue to add to the prime property offering of this magnificent, superbly scenic region. Such developments are invariably snapped up by astute property buyers and investors who recognise great opportunities, often before they’re launched.
Location is the key
Location is always the key, irrespective of whether the development is old or new. Some of Cape Town’s iconic older dwellings and buildings that have heritage status have been revamped within, thereby serving to increase their value and increase their appeal – far exceeding any levels that the original owners could ever have envisaged in their wildest dreams.
Living well in Cape Town
By the same token, Cape Town’s best new residential developments feature the latest in modern luxuries, appointments, and finishes, thus ensuring that they hold an enduring appeal to affluent buyers who are accustomed to having their creature comforts wherever they choose to live.
These folks live well, making the most of the Cape’s beauty, ambience, character, functioning infrastructure, multitude of leisure activities, and laid-back lifestyle. It’s all here, in Cape Town, the home of many of South Africa’s prime, most luxurious residential suburbs, streets, and properties.
Top suburbs and streets
The figures and data listed below reflect the average values of the most affluent suburbs and streets in Cape Town, and are according to a Lightstone report, as published online at businesstech.co.za, the website of BusinessTech during May this year, 2019.
The analysis of the data was compiled by Lightstone, which took into account almost 8 million registered properties, of which 83% were registered as residential, in South Africa. Well more than half of these were freehold properties, but the published data didn’t state how many were older versus new developments.
Three of Cape Town’s top suburbs, by value, included Fresnaye, Sea Point, and Rondebosch.
