The Old Barn is a four-bedroom family home in the village of Cropwell Butler. Though the family room had recently been beautifully renovated, it was lacking furniture. Fine & Country Property Staging brought in sofas, a stylish chair and a rug. To complete the room, the team supplied curtains, accessories and artwork. It was important for the client to still access their exercise equipment, so a small storage unit was cleverly used to hide away these items for viewings.

The frequently-used dining kitchen began as a lived-in family space, with children's colourful artwork proudly hanging around the room and art supplies cluttering the work surfaces. With Shaker-style kitchen cabinetry, natural wood furnishings and hanging plants already making for an attractive space, all that needed to be done was to remove personal belongings and clutter to remove distractions and add appeal to potential buyers.

Tidying was required to ready the office for photographs, and the addition of an armchair suggested a break for a quiet coffee admiring the garden.

The existing snug was transformed into a music room, uniting the instruments dotted around the house in one space.

Upstairs required decluttering throughout, and some larger items were replaced with smaller pieces of furniture to give more space in the rooms. ‘Bathroom kits’ were provided for viewings to replace personal items ahead of photos and viewings. 

In the garden, arrangements were made for the lawns to be mowed, vignettes were created, and fresh logs were added to the firepit to attract viewers.
