In the South West region, the average price of property is £938,000, which represents a 15.34 percent annual change. The premium price threshold in the South West is £686,000, which means that the top five percent of sales in the region were above this figure. Over the last 12 months the average price per square foot has been around £435. The total value of sales over the past year has been £3.23 billion with 924 sales at or over £1 million.

Prime property price growth in the South West is stronger than the average across England and Wales. In Bath and Cheltenham, two of the region’s eight key market areas, the average price of a prime property commands a seven-digit sum.

"The property market in Wiltshire has remained very buoyant. Demand has increased from those looking to relocate to the countryside from more urban areas, and due to more flexible working patterns, a lot of these buyers will continue to work in London two-to-three days per week. Supply continues to be constrained, and this is causing an upwards trend on pricing, and competitive bids in many cases."
