Saunton is a small village lying 2 miles west of Braunton and is known for its long stretch of surfing sandy beach (believed to be approximately 3 miles long), perfect for wind surfing, surfing, paddle boarding, bodyboarding, swimming etc and dogs are allowed on the beach all year around. The beach connects to the UNESCO Reserve sight of Braunton Burrows as well as Crow Point to the far end and it has been used as a background for many music videos and films.
