Biggleswade is a market town and civil parish located on the River Ivel in Bedfordshire and has a population of about 16,500. The area is thought to have been inhabited from around 10,000 BC, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
Biggleswade has superb transport links, both road and rail, connecting the town with London in 35 minutes by train. Cambridge can also be accessed within 35 minutes and Bedford 25 minutes, both by road.

The Great Northern Railway opened in 1850, and Biggleswade was for a time the only town in Bedfordshire to have a mainline station.
The town provides a selection of Bars, Pubs and Cafés and there are numerous charming country pubs in surrounding villages. Biggleswade carnival is held every summer with a variety of family events and a parade.
